About me

I've been a Mosaics tutor for 10 years, working with all ages from 6 to 96 and all abilities. I've run adult and children's workshops at Tullie House in Carlisle, Gracefield Arts Centre ,Cloud 9 Gallery & The Art Room in Dumfries, Catstrand in New Galloway & numerous other places.

We have now moved down to Gainsborough in Lincolnshire, & I hope to carry on running workshops & hopefully selling my work locally.

Teaching

I specialise in working with people with learning difficulties and special needs and over the past 3 years have worked alongside DGAA (Dumfries & Galloway Arts Association) facilitating workshops for Fairer Scotland and Building Healthy Communities. For the past 3 summers I have run workshops in Annan for ACE youth project and have done several After School Clubs throughout the area. Other workshops I have done have included Trinity House, Lockerbie; several residential homes for the elderly; Activity Resource Centres in Dumfries, Langholm and Castle Douglas. I also run my own workshops throughout the region on a regular basis in Annan, Auldgirth, and Dumfries & Castle Douglas

Over the past 8  years I have held some workshops for the Womens Rural Institute in Glenluce, Glenlochar & Luss in Dumbartonshire - great fun!

I also run Kids workshops occasionally at both Annan & Dumfries Museums

Employment   Between 2010 to 2013  at 3V Gallery, The Vennel, Dumfries running workshops for people with learning disabilities from the ARC in Dumfries.

I have Disclosure for Scotland & England

In 2018 I have been running workshops for WEA in Lincoln & Louth

My Art

I  work to commission and can make a personalised house name or number, garden table, mirrors, etc

Over the past 4 years I have done Anniversary plaques for Newington & St.Columba's Primary schools in Annan

I can come & hold a Mosaics class at your home or place of work for a morning, afternoon or whole day - weekdays or weekend for a minimum of 4 people

Mosaics is a very relaxing, therapeutic pastime and is suitable for anyone aged 6 to 96, as it can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be.
